Delete your Cercle account
Applies to the Cercle app (iOS and Android) and any account created at cercle.events.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@cercle.events from the email address your Cercle account is registered with, with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We'll confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — name, email, city/language/activity preferences
- Your club memberships and admin roles
- Your RSVP and attendance history (the data behind your show-up score)
- Photos you uploaded
- Your event chat messages going forward (see retention note below)
- Your push notification token
What may be retained, and for how long
Event chat messages you sent are part of a shared conversation with other members — deleting your account removes your profile's link to them, but the messages themselves stay visible to people who were in that chat, the same way they would in any group chat. We keep report/moderation records tied to your account for up to 12 months where needed to enforce our community standards or meet a legal obligation, even after the rest of your data is deleted.
